So after three years of living in the North Valleys of Reno, we just now realized how close Frenchman’s Lake is to us. Not that we haven’t been there before, I think we just go into some patterns (ruts) of not doing outdoor actives.

I don’t have any pictures uploaded at the moment but on Sunday the 15th, the four of us went out on Chris’s new boat. Amy and I tried our hands at wake boarding and did alright. We were both pretty sore last week though.

This last weekend we went took the plunge and actually went camping. We left Friday night after work and spent a rain drenched Friday night and a very nice Saturday night up at the lake. We went with Amy’s parents, Bill and Joy, and Amy’s sister and her family, Traci, Billy, Emma and Josie. Chris joined us Saturday night and we took his boat out again on Sunday. I did much better wake boarding this time but Amy didn’t get a chance - she did get to go out on the boat though. Billy and Bill also gave it a try. I think they will both be hating life this morning due to soreness.

I hope we get out there some more this summer. We may not get to go before Fresno but we’ll see.

BTW, If I let someone borrow my DC to AC power converter (you plug it into your car lighter and then you can plug regular devices into it, let me know. I could have used it this weekend!)

Chuck and I went and played a round on the executive par 9 golf course at Wildcreek while he and my mom were here for Mayah’s birthday. I took a few videos of his Tiger like swing. Check them out.

Sharon and I sat down last week and finalized our plans for Fresno. Both our respective families are going to Marine World outside of San Francisco on August 10th. Then we will roll on in to Fresno on the 11th. Can’t wait to see everyone!

I posted a new album from 4th festivities. We had a fun time going down to the Sparks Marina for activities like face painting and bounce houses. Then during the evening we met up with the family over in Reno at Rancho San Rafael. It was a nice evening - except for the wind - and the fireworks were great.

So, you may remember that when Mayah turned one, I got a tattoo of a lion. This was because the first thing she learned was to roar like a lion. On Saturday, I got a new tattoo. This time it was for Tyler and its a car. Tyler’s first thing was saying vroom when playing with cars. This one actually has his name on it too. Dave Pennell, Emma’s Dad, did the art work and did an awesome job too. I was worried about doing a car that was too real because I’m not much of a car guy. Thanks a ton Dave!

Sunday we took Tyler and Mayah to Snip-Its for a hair cut. Snip-Its is a new kid salon at the new Sierra Summit Mall in South Reno. This was Tyler’s first hair cut and he did awesome. Josie also got her hair cut and since Emma had just had hers done she got a manicure. Here are the pictures from that as well as some other misc photos.

Towards the end of June, Amy and the kids went to Fresno for a creative memories scrap booking event. Together with Sharon and Dylan they drove down on Thursday, stayed the weekend and drove back on Sunday. About two freeway exits from home, the Saturn got a flat tire.
