I sucked it up and with the help of Robert, moved the Twelve Horses blog from Typepad.com to WordPress. The new url is http://blog.twelvehorses.com. I absolutely love WordPress and whole heartedly believe this will lead me to post more entries there. Only time will tell though.

I haven’t been posting very regularly but it’s a good thing. I’ve been so busy with other things, that I can barely keep up. Here’s a small update:
- Interviewed Steve Fine of the RGJ.com on the Horse Power Podcast
Not only was it a great conversation, but it was the first podcast I edited using GarageBand on the nifty new MacBook Pro that Twelve Horses supplied me with. I think the audio quality is noticeably better.
- Implemented a memory book for Deux Gros Nez.
I did this personally using Wordpress. I think it came out nice and didn’t take much time.
- DisneyFrontier.com is going gang busters.
This is my hobby site. I’m listed third (most days) on Google for the search term Disney Blog. My page rank has increase to three. My alex rating is hovering around 500,000 (this is decent but could be better). And my traffic is reflecting it.

- Vacation next week. We are heading to Disneyland for a few days as a Christmas present.
- I’ve been getting clients blogging left and right. I’ve done two Wordpress trainings in the last three days and have two more next week.
Things are definitely cooking at Twelve Horses, DisneyFrontier.com and home. I just hope I can keep up.
P.S. It’s tough to be happy right now with the news of James Kim. The pictures of his young family are saddening and hearing all his colleagues moved to tears on various videos and podcasts has been heart breaking. I’ve been a fan of his since his TechTV days. Luckily his two daughters and wife survived. If you feel generous this season, please give a little to help his family.

Robert and I interview Phyllis Freyer, the vice president of Marketing for Renown. She was very honest with the entire story of the name change and rebranding. Have a listen.

We just posted Episode 20 of our podcast. We interviewed Jim Litchfield who was instrumental in getting the White Water and Kayak Park built downtown. We are rocking and rolling on these podcasts.

For those who don’t know, I host a regular podcast with Robert Payne; its easily the best part of my job. We just posted two new episodes that I wanted to mention. The first is John Seelmeyer, the Managing Editor of the Northern Nevada Business Weekly, a local business paper. The second is Brian Krolicki, the Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor and the current Nevada State Treasurer.
Please give a listen, either through iTunes or from the actual site, and give me any feedback. What could we doing better? What do you like? Who should we interview next?

Robert Payne is Twelve Horses Marketing Manager. After contributing to the Twelve Horses Blog for quite some time, Robert has finally got his own personal blog up and running. Congrats Robert. Also, I wanted to point out a post Robert just did on blog trackbacks. If you are unfamiliar with trackbacks, check it out. If you know what a trackback is, give him some feedback.

Twelve Horses had a company BBQ up at Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe last night. The weather held up nice as it didn’t cool off until about 7:30 PM. The kids had fun playing in the water and Mayah made new friends with Sophia and Keltin. Martin played chef extraordinare and I think everyone had fun.
